Sarah Aitken, MPT, BA
Registered Physiotherapist
Sarah brings a thoughtful, down-to-earth approach to her role as a physiotherapist, combining strong clinical training with a genuine commitment to helping people feel confident in their recovery. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, she completed her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia before happily returning home to the community she loves.
With experience in both neurological and orthopaedic settings, Sarah has worked with a wide range of conditions—from stroke rehabilitation and amputee care to early gait training and musculoskeletal injuries. She enjoys the variety that comes with treating different clients and takes pride in getting to know each person’s goals. Her approach is centered on making recovery feel manageable and realistic, not overwhelming. By focusing on the root of the problem, she builds individualized treatment plans that fit seamlessly into busy lives.
Sarah creates a supportive, encouraging environment where patients feel heard and capable. She’s there to guide, adapt, and challenge when needed—helping people move with confidence and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of the clinic, Sarah fully embraces Vancouver Island life. She can often be found chasing after her puppy or exploring the outdoors—whether that’s hiking, biking (at a relaxed pace), running (even more relaxed), or birdwatching. She’s also recently taken up curling, and while she might admit her form is still a work in progress, she brings the same sense of fun and determination to the ice as she does to everything else.
Sarah’s approachable nature, sense of humor, and dedication to her patients make her a valued part of the team and a pleasure to work with.
